Suits Direct, Hartlepool

Overview

A 1,400 m² commercial roof overlay for Suits Direct in Hartlepool. Rather than a costly, disruptive strip-out, the existing roof was overlaid and upgraded — adding significant thermal performance and a brand-new, fully-warranted waterproof finish.

The Challenge

Large commercial premises need to keep trading, so minimising disruption was key. The roof also needed a meaningful thermal upgrade to modern standards, and — being a big, exposed roof on the north-east coast — a system specified to handle serious wind uplift.

Our Solution

We overlaid the existing roof with 150mm of PIR insulation and a mechanically-fixed Fatra single-ply PVC membrane — the ideal specification for large, exposed commercial roofs. Every detail was dressed in properly: upstands, parapets, outlets and penetrations all welded and finished to manufacturer standard across the full 1,400 m².

The Result

A warmer, watertight, future-proofed commercial roof delivered as an overlay — better thermal performance, a crisp new finish and decades of service, without the cost and downtime of a full strip-out.
